The International School of Music Leichhardt (ISM) provides unique group music programs and quality music education for children ages 2 and above. Instruction is aurally based, to maximise learning in young students, encouraging not only a love of music, but an understanding of music, all taught by tertiary qualified teachers. Our courses build a solid musical foundation, as students grow and transition through primary, high school and even university.

Jitterbugs Music (2 year olds)
Jitterbugs is the perfect introduction to our young, inspiring musicians. Students, along with their carers, have fun singing, playing percussion, making craft, reading stories and learning social skills in a warm and welcoming environment. The course also includes musical movement, to assist in developing students' gross motor skills. (30 minute lessons)

Little Beebopper Music (3 year olds)
Beeboppers is an interactive and dynamic course that introduces early music concepts, including solfege singing to develop pitch and playing percussion to written music rhythms.
Gross and fine motor skills are developed, through fun action and movement to music. Students also engage in musical games and complete weekly worksheets, to reinforce musical concepts. Weekly themed lessons entice the imagination. Beeboppers is the perfect course for parent-child bonding and social skill building and sets a solid foundation to progress to the Pianorama Junior Music Course. (45 minute lessons)

Pianorama Junior/Primary Music (4 to 8 year olds)
Pianorama develops musical and technical skills for beginner pianists. Learning is accelerated by aural (ear) training, singing, percussion, music appreciation, musical games and theory work. Students gain experience in both solo and ensemble performances. The Pianorama group courses set students up for success, when they progress to private tuition under the AMEB curriculum, well into their high school years and beyond. (45 minute lessons)
