Latorre Sports Australia was founded by Master Diana Latorre who was born in Bogota, Colombia and moved to Australia in 2005. Master Diana has completed a Physical Education degree from the National Pedagogical University in Bogota, holds black belts in World Taekwondo (WT) and Kickboxing and teaches both taekwondo classes for children and kickboxing classes for adults. In the near future, combined classes for adults and children will be available, so that families can learn taekwondo together in a fun and inclusive environment.
Master Dianas impressive achievements include being a World Association Kickboxing Organizations (WAKO) International referee in WAKO Championships. She commenced her refereeing career in the WAKO Colombian Open and most recently participated in the WAKO Pan-American in Mexico in 2018, the WAKO Oceania in New Zealand in 2019 and the WAKO World championship in Bosnia in 2019.
Based on her experience as a physical educator and her martial arts experience of more than 35 years, Master Diana identified the need for adults and children to participate in martial arts activities, where they can train alongside their friends, build strong relationships and develop the confidence to be successful in all areas of life.
