Established in 2006 at Carrara Community Centre, Southern Cross Martial Arts (SCMA) is your premier destination for martial arts excellence on the Gold Coast. Founded by Kyoshi John Trebilco, who brings over 30 years of Martial Arts experience including two years of study at the International College of Martial Arts, our school has been at the forefront of innovative teaching methods.

Pioneering Childrens Martial Arts Program

Our Childrens Martial Arts Program, known for its pioneering approach to teaching young kids, has become a global standard embraced by schools worldwide. Kyoshi John's dual role as an Assistant Martial Arts Instructor in Ashmore added practical expertise to our foundation.

As our vibrant SCMA community grew, our Leadership program played a crucial role. Young members evolved into skilled Instructors, contributing to the schools success. We take pride in our commitment to growth and skill development.

Responding to the demand for our unique approach, SCMA now operates in four locations: Robina, Merrimac, Carrara, and Mudgeeraba. Weve kept our student/instructor ratios low, ensuring a personalized and enriching learning experience for all.
